Browsing the website
You can read public pages without creating an account. Hosting, security and delivery services may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, requested URLs and error logs to deliver and protect the site. Search terms appear in the URL and may therefore appear in technical logs; please do not enter sensitive information.
When you contact us
If you email or call, we receive the contact details and information you choose to provide. We use them to answer your request, handle corrections and manage the resulting correspondence. Our email and telephone providers process communications to provide those services. We do not add correspondents to a marketing list automatically.
Saved articles
Using “Save for later” stores article titles, links and preview details in your browser under aa-saved-works. This list is not an account and is not sent to us by the saved-list feature. It remains on that browser until you remove items, choose “Clear saved list” on the Saved page or clear site data. Anyone using the same browser profile may see it.
Publication feeds and external services
Our server retrieves article previews from BookKad, Quropedia and Tradivior. Images served directly by a source publication can disclose your IP address and request information to that publication’s host when loaded. Following an external link takes you to a separate website governed by its own policies. Hosting and communications providers may process information in countries other than yours.
Cookies, analytics and optional services
WordPress uses cookies for administrator authentication and certain preview functions. See our cookies and local storage notice. Google Analytics may be loaded through Google Site Kit to measure aggregate website use; depending on configuration, browser settings and applicable consent choices, Google may receive device, browser, page-view and related measurement data and may use cookies or comparable identifiers. Email subscriptions are handled through MailPoet. When you subscribe, we process your email address, optional first name, subscription status and your optional choice about open/click measurement. MailPoet provides confirmation, preference-management and unsubscribe functions. We do not use this website to build cross-site advertising profiles.
Retention and disclosure
Correspondence is retained as needed to handle the request, follow up on corrections and meet applicable obligations; provider logs and backups follow their service retention arrangements. We do not promise a single retention period across those services. Information may be shared with service providers needed to operate the site, or where required by law. It is not sold by this website.
Your choices and requests
You can control cookies and local storage through your browser and contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of information you have provided, or to raise a concern. We may need limited verification to protect your information. Requests are handled subject to applicable law and any obligations to retain particular records.
